Thought for the Week

Are you trying to do something about something that you can’t do anything about?  One thing is required: trust.

UNITY – ELIMINATE DIVISION

Checkpoint for gossip:-

One of the best ways to end a rumour is to ask if you may quote the individual passing it along.  If the person says no, it’s possible that the rumour is just idle talk.  If the person answers yes, you should contact the subject of the rumour to verify the story you heard.

If you like to spread news about others, ask yourself if you would want someone to quote you.  A negative answer is a good sign you should keep your lips sealed on the matter.  A positive response should lead not to back-fence reporting, but to up-front discussion with the person concerned.

Life is a series of choices and the solution begins with you.  Choose to take control of your tongue before it takes control of you.  Choose to face reality, acknowledge your mistakes, correct them and get back on track.

Be honest, open and willing.

Do not cause your brother/sister to stumble.

Stay safe by staying close to God.

1 Peter 1:13 – 16

Be holy – because GOD is Holy.

In love, Jean
